Express Gratitude for These 125+ Things Every Day

Gratitude. We hear a lot about it, such as if we express gratitude on a regular basis we’ll be happier. Or that expressing gratitude brings more abundance into our lives. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”

Science has shown how expressing gratitude can rewire your brain. If you missed the TedTalk on that, you can watch that here:

Some people thank God or the Universe every morning upon waking. Others journal their thanks every night before they close their eyes and sleep. And still other people think little of myriad of things for which they could be grateful. Wherever you fall on this spectrum, here is a list of 125 things you could stop to acknowledge and whisper words of thanksgiving.

PLEDGE TO BE A WHOLE CHAMPION

I recognize that our world requires a monumental shift, and that I can help make the world better through awareness, responsibility and action.

I understand the time is now to step up, take better care of myself, others, and the environment, and make a difference. I pledge to do my best knowing it positively effects the whole world.

Now we want to hear what you have to say. Can you tell us how you think you could make a positive difference in the world?

“The payoffs of courage and effort to create change aren’t always immediately obvious, but they work as a mighty tectonic force  that can shift the future in fundamental ways.”

Yvon Chouinard
